Actress Leslie Mann was born in San Francisco, California. She was raised by her mother, Janet, a realtor, and was educated at Corona del Mar High School in Newport Beach, California. At the age of 17 she launched her career, appearing in various TV commercials.
Her screen break came when she was cast as Nurse Mary in the short-lived "Birdland". Further TV and film roles followed, including "The Cable Guy", where she met her husband, Judd Apatow, who was a producer on the film.
